How to Request Cancellation of a Hosting Service

You can request cancellation of a hosting service from inside the HostworX client area.

Before cancelling, please make sure you have downloaded any website files, databases, emails, or backups you may need. Once a service is cancelled and terminated, the data linked to that hosting account may no longer be available.

Step 1 – Log Into the Client Area

Open your browser and visit: https://www.hostworx.co.za

Log in using your client area email address and password.

Click: Login

Step 2 – Go to Your Services

Once logged in, click: Services

Then click: My Services

You will now see a list of services linked to your account.

Step 3 – Select the Service You Want to Cancel

Find the hosting service you want to cancel.

Click: Manage Product

This will open the service details page for that hosting account.

Step 4 – Request Cancellation

On the service details page, look for the cancellation option.

Click: Request Cancellation

Step 5 – Choose the Cancellation Type

You will be asked to enter a reason for the cancellation.

You will also need to choose one of the available cancellation options.

Immediate Cancellation

Choose immediate cancellation if you want the service to be cancelled as soon as possible.

Important: If you choose immediate cancellation, the hosting account may be terminated within 24 hours. This may remove the website files, databases, email accounts, and other data linked to the hosting service.

Only choose this option if you are sure you no longer need the hosting account or any data stored on it.

End of Billing Period Cancellation

Choose end of billing period cancellation if you want the service to remain active until the end of the current billing period.

This option allows you to continue using the service until the paid period ends. The service will then be cancelled at the end of the billing cycle.

Step 6 – Submit the Cancellation Request

After selecting the cancellation type and entering your reason, click: Submit

Your cancellation request will then be sent to HostworX for processing.

Important Notes

Cancelling a hosting service may affect your website, email accounts, databases, DNS records, and any services linked to that hosting account.

If you use email on the hosting account, cancelling the service may cause those email accounts to stop working.

If your domain is registered separately, cancelling your hosting service does not automatically cancel the domain name.

If you are moving your website to another provider, make sure the website transfer is complete before cancelling your hosting account.
