SitePad is available from inside your DirectAdmin control panel.
You can use SitePad to create and manage a website using a simple drag-and-drop website builder.
This guide explains how to access SitePad from DirectAdmin.
Step 1 – Log Into DirectAdmin
Open your browser and visit: https://cp.yourdomain.co.za (Replace yourdomain.co.za with your own domain name.)
Enter your DirectAdmin username and password.
Click: Log In
Step 2 – Open SitePad Website Builder
Once you are logged into DirectAdmin, look for the SitePad option.
Click: Extra Features
Then click: SitePad Website Builder
The SitePad dashboard will open.
Step 3 – Create a Site
If your hosting account has more than one domain, you may need to select the domain you want to work on.
Locate: Create a new site at the top of the page
Choose the domain where you want to build or edit your website.
Step 4 – Choose Your Domain
If your hosting account has more than one domain, you may need to select the domain you want to work on.
Locate: Select Domain, example: yourdomain.co.za
Choose the domain where you want to build or edit your website.
Enter the name of the website: example mywebsite.co.za and leave the in directory field blank if you want this site in the root of the domain. example https://www.www.mytestsite.co.za
Choose a category: example business
Select a language to use: example English (United States)
Select if you want to use the AI Builder or not, if so enter a description of what your company does and what services it offers. and ask the ai builder to build a description from what you have entered.
Click: Get Started.
Step 4 – Select Images
After selecting your domain, and clicking get started, you will need to provide some information to the builder.
Enter your: email address, phone number and address you want to use.
If you want to add social media profiles, you can fill them in and use them for the website.
Click: Continue.
Select plugins: Enable any plugins you want to use by checking the checkboxes next to each one.
Click: Continue
Select images to use: Select 10 - 15 images to use on your site, or upload your own, if you dont see the ones you want to use, change the topic in the top field to see other types of images.
Once you have selected or uploaded your images
Click: Continue
Step 4 – Select Theme
Select from the list of themes to use, once selected and you are happy
Click: Import Theme Content
From here, you can choose a theme, edit your website pages, change text, add images, and publish your website.
Important Note Before Publishing
If you already have an existing website on your hosting account, be careful before publishing a SitePad website.
Publishing a SitePad website may replace or overwrite existing website files.
We recommend making a backup before publishing any new website changes.
